With this first post I'm looking for some advice for my next brush.
After my conversion from Gillette Sensor Excel (System) to DE -- with some help of one of your fellow members. I started to reflect a little more what and how I do when shaving. So I thought I should look for a better brush.
Having read the BB Guide to Shaving Brushes and Björn's excellent Synthetic Brush Round Up I collected some details about my current brush.
I use to facelather with my Wilkinson-Sword pure badger brush (made in Germany) for ~15yrs. Although it's a little floppy I get good results with my Florena shaving cream. It has a 21mm knot and about 50mm bristle high. I would prefer a little more hair packed in the knot, I guess.
option 1: Get me a men-ü synthetic. So I can use it for traveling later on if my standard rises. or ..
option 2: Get me a nice badger brush like the Mühle Silberspitz-Dachszupf or one of those nice Rooney's.
Just today I had a look at the Body Shop synthetic shaving brush -which is way to small- and a Pils Rasierpinsel at our local mall. The later one for some reason I didn't like. Maybe because of the saileslady - who took me much energy to make her stop talking. ;-)
btw. I'm asked to tell you : that this will be my last or only brush, and that "SBAD hasn't really gotten ahold of me." ;-)
Cheers, Jörg
