Alligator is always really expensive, shave kit or otherwise. The cheapest way to get an item made from alligator is actually to go hunt one yourself, skin it, have the hide prepared, and sewn into whatever you want. Otherwise, fuggedaboudit.

Mulholland Brothers does make some of the finest leather luggage/bags in the world, though.

Yes. Notice that the same (or basically the same) bag is available for a lot less in other material choices. Exotic skin is expensive, plain and simple.

I prefer the one Filson makes. A bargain at only $175.

Muholland Brothers makes some great stuff, and they use only the finest leathers. Plus all their bags are handmade in the US.

The price is way out of line compared to other products. You can get a pair of alligator boots (which uses more material) for well under $1000.

Indeed. I just saw someone catch one the other day and he said he would only get about $175 for it, but last year probably $300. It was a 6.5-7 ft gator.

I like the Dopp brand bags. I have this one, and think it's great. One does have to pack efficiently to use this size, though. They have larger sizes too.

You can buy a nice oversized brand name croc handbag....cut the leather up, and make the exact same kind of toiletry bag for less!!!!!!
