❄️🌧️366 Shaves 2024☀️🍁

Wednesday 27th November, shave #332

Preshave: Hot washcloth
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat (Tallow)
Brush: Yaqi 24mm synthetic cashmere
Razor: GC1.05 SB, Al Handle, Astra SP #9
Bowl: Turkish copper
Post-shave: Nivea Balm

Back to Wool Fat, for another easy DFS.

I got something else to try. Italian Barber had Lupos available, and extra baseplates, so I got a Lupo 95 plus the .72 baseplate in one go.

It will be interesting to see how they fare against my current favourite, the GC1.05-P.

It has been a long time since my last post, but I’m still in the hunt for 366.
Today was shave number 333.
As you can see, today’s kit has no rhyme or reason. I’m hoping to 3017 the Arko cream and the Mennen soon. The vintage Wilkinson (1) was nice and smooth.
Happy Thanksgiving.

Congratulations, you finally took the plunge with the Lupo. I found the .95 took a bit of getting used to, but I would be very interested to hear your view of the .72. I thought of getting one before I took my buying sabbatical and if I do start buying again it might be something I'd consider.

Shave#333 of 366 remaining 33(100%)

Razor:
RR Lupo 95 SB
Blade: Blue Bird (7)
Brush: Simpsons Trafalgar T3
Soap: Proraso Red
Post Shave: Nivea Hyaluron Creme
A/S: Davidoff Cool Water

All the threes tonight for another 3017 shave, the Proraso is going quite quickly and I have been considering my next project. I have decided that after nearly 2 years of not buying any soap I need to spend a bit of time using up my creams before they get to the same state as the TOBS Sandalwood that has hardened in the tub. Tonight's shave was not bad, but I was left with quite a bit more roughness on my neck so the blade has gone in the blade bank and I will start a new one tomorrow.

Thursday 28th November, shave #333

Preshave: Hot washcloth
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat (Tallow)
Brush: Yaqi 24mm synthetic cashmere
Razor: GC1.05 SB, Al Handle, Astra SP #10
Bowl: Turkish copper
Post-shave: Nivea Balm

I took my time, for a very good near-BBS.

I found the .95 took a bit of getting used to, but I would be very interested to hear your view of the .72. I thought of getting one before I took my buying sabbatical

Whichever baseplate I got, I knew I'd have to try the other one sooner or later, so I was pleased to capture them both with the same shipping costs. I'll post my impressions.

At the end of the year, I will have three years without missing a shave.

I think I signed up in 2021!

I've been enjoying the same hardware for a good few weeks now and I kind of want to stick with it until I've 3017'd the soap (which shouldn't have too long left now).
