Loaded a fresh Astra into the .84 Game Changer. The milder plate goes well with the sharper-feeling first shave. I got a comfortable near-BBS.

Tonight for Muhle/MdC Monday it's another day using the Rocca set with MdC. The Rapira blade on its second use did another great job and left me with a BBS again and I really enjoy using the Rocca set, so what's not to love?

DE SOTD, Tuesday, October 1st 2024 #275 of 275/366 consecutive daily shaves!

Razor : Yaqi Sentinel 1.5mm 316 SSP with my Yaqi Tear drop 316 SSP handle. Mfg 2022>, mild range with a standard Gillette blade. Excellent machining and finish QC, similar design to the Personna BBS and Wolfman W2 variants. The best method for myself to get those close comfortable shaves with this razor is shallow(riding the cap) seems to be the most effortless for good results and with no irritations at all. Great daily driver in IMO. One of my favorite razors that should be used more since mastered. Had a close comfortable stellar shave this morning.
Blade : Personna red (3) sharp and smooth with excellent longevity. Top tier in my collection of top 5 blades. Great blade made in USA also.
Soap : Razorock Santa Maria del Fiore, nice vanilla light tobacco scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Robin" 24mm boar bristle knot. Excellent lather generator, soft split ends brittle tips, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Pinaud clubman splash with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable stellar shave this morning with my Yaqi sentinel with a Personna red blade.

This blade seems very mild. Couldn't walk away after one ATG pass this morning. Redoing the jaw line was comfortable but necessary.

Now the blade is smoothed out, I went back to the 1.05mm Game Changer baseplate. It worked like a charm with that, giving me an easy near-BBS.
