Back to my (unevenly used up) MWF, and loaded heavily, to make sure there was enough for a good bowl-lather. I got a fine near-BBS.

All change last night with the change to the Rapira Platinum Lux blade and though not a favourite even when combined with the R89 I managed to get a BBS when combined with a clean-up pass. The R89 is often overlooked in my collection though it always provides a good comfortable shave and can give a BBS, when combined with the right blade. I have 4 of these to use up, but no idea how long they'll last.

One pass ATG and walk away shave. The boar works very well on the B&M soap today. I've found these blades rough, but I think part of it was inferior lather with other soaps. These are only a small number of soap brands that I buy now.

Tonight for my first 3017 shave of the week I lathered with the T3, for a while I thought the brush was too springy and had a tendency to fling lather all over the place, but after using it quite a bit whilst 3017ing this soap I have found that as long as you use it to paint the lather on it is actually a fairly good brush, as long as you take care. As for the Rapira blade, when combined with the Rocca it delivered an easy BBS.
