I like my modern stainless steel razors, but the Old Type delivers just as good a shave.

We're on the home straight now, less than 20% to go.

Shave #294. The Timeless mixed metal slim is a pleasure to use with any blade combo. The mutton based Stirling is very good. The BlackBerry camera, not so hot.

Post-shave: Nivea 2-Phase Lotion.

This soap can take slightly more hydration than I thought, and gets the slicker for it.

Everything worked well, I did an extra XTG pass on my face, and the result was near-perfect.

Since there was plenty of time, I used both the open comb Game Changers. The efficient .84 took care of pass one and the easy bits of XTG, and I used the mild .68 for the rest.

Excellent result.

Shave #296. Interesting kit today. I used an Israeli blade (Personna, I think, but the blades aren't branded and I threw the wrapping away), and I used my most fail proof lather generating brush for a first use of a new soap.
