Bowl: Turkish copper
Post-shave: Nivea Hyaluron

The MWF needed watering anyway, so had a shave with it. A quick but effective DFS.

Same gear as last night and not much of a difference in the result, a near BBS. The Astra SS blade seems to suit the Lupo better than the other blades I have tried so far, but that means it is either much more blade temperamental than the Rocca or it requires some as yet undiscovered technique to get better results. Either way it does not appear the Lupo will be overtaking the Rocca any time soon in my affection.

Notes to these shaves:

First facial shave with the Athena. Bought for a special occasion and that occasion occurred yesterday. The blade gave such a great performance yesterday I just had to reward that with another shave. And again it performed marvellous.

I noticed that parts of my face were either in or approaching marble status telling me that when I get the angle right this will be an even more effective razor.

Tonight as it has been a wonderful sunny day here I decided on Don Marco to provide the lather. The incredible orange scent just shreiks summer to me and although not in my top tier RR soaps can definitely hold their own especially at such a cheap price point.
I really wanted the Rocca to complete this shave as I still prefer it to the Lupo and it just makes the shave that bit more special. Although the BIC blade was on the 12th shave I ended up with a near BBS although it may start getting on for a DFS+ before many more shaves.
