Tonight I brought out Explorer as it always provides an enjoyable shave and lathering it with the Moka-soft is always a pleasure. The ZM soap is in the same league as SV and MdC when it comes to lather. The Lupo has been doing a stirling job since I started using blades that are smooth but not as sharp.
The shave tonight was as good as it could have been, but I think the Big Ben blade is losing its edge, though it may take a couple more shaves to establish if it is at the stage I need to bin it. For such a cheap blade 15 shaves is a good total.

Post-shave: Nivea 2-in-1 Aftershave

Loaded up a fresh Astra. I noticed this shaving cream going cheaply in Tk-Maxx, and bought it on impulse.

It performed about the same as the Nivea, and had a better post-shave. The scent is very mild and fleeting.

Yesterday Kathy and I did some yard work and started our new herb garden. Potatoes and onions are in the ground and tomatoes and peppers will be soon. (We discovered the Mediterranean Diet a couple months ago) The LSU ladies basketball team advanced to the March Madness Championship Game.
Today our granddaughter has a couple of her paintings on display at a local art gallery and more men's March Madness games tonight. Oh yeah, I gotta mow the yard later this afternoon. We're cooking falafels and rice for supper. Whew!

Tonight for SV Saturday 70th Anniversary decided to put in an appearance for my shave. I just love that scent and performance, SV Saturday and MdC Monday are my favourite days of the week. The Purple Haze is one of my softest brushes and always makes for a special lather. I decided to go for the Rocca today as, unlike the Lupo I can just throw it around my face and still get a great shave and good result.
Alas today the blade has let me down again and the result wasn't even as good as a DFS so unfortunately I am retiring the Big Ben blade after 16 shaves.

For the first week of April, I'm using Opuntia. Opened a new bottle of 2-in-1.

Some days, everything aligns for an easy win, and this was one of them. A perfect SV bowl-lather, and a textbook near-BBS.

Today shave was beautifull and smooth. Cream and AS scents complement each other, and after a week or so of using different new razors, 3One6 gave me an efortless BBS, amaizing razor.
All in all 10/10 shave today

Notes to today’s shave:

The star of today’s shave was the Zenith by @flask28! Wow! Based on this one performance I might even develop a liking to boars! Excellent lather thick and slick. Worked very well.

An excellent start of this Sunday I would say. Did errands yesterday so today is more about tidying up and relaxing before another week of work starts.

The brush may be a little prickly but it whips up a hell of a lather! I am also really enjoying this soap - it smells great and performs very, very well.
