What's new

2nd Cumming

Has anyone tried 2nd Cumming? I was curious about a couple of things. First, it is a water based perfume. How does that affect it? Second, they have a Absolute perfume which seems to be a concentrate. Has anyone tried either of these? Thanks!

One of them is water based. And according to reviews not very long lasting nor does it project well.

But a huge perfumista friends loves it to bits.

This is the same fragrance as the first one, isn't it? Is that one gone?

From what I have read they are nearly identical, and yes I think the first one is no longer available.

I am hoping someone on here has some first hand experience with the regular and/or the concentrate.

If the regular is anything like the original Cumming, I say avoid it.

I have a 100mL bottle that I've sprayed maybe 4 times, and if it weren't for the ridiculous international postage charges levied by Australia Post, I would have traded it long ago.

It's a pleasant enough fragrance, daring but not offensively so (it really does have a 'dirt' note to it, but it's a sweet soil smell that actually smells very good), but the longevity and projection are freaking awful.

Don't waste your time.

Blasphemer!

Haha yep, guess so :)

I was wildly disappointed with Cumming. If they could get that booze and dirt accord to last, I'd give it an unenthusiastic thumbs-up, but as it stands it's a very poor fragrance for longevity and projection, and the smell isn't stunning enough to compensate for its weakness.

Who knows - I may bring it with me on my next trip to the States and trade it while I'm over there.

I'll take Iquitos as my celebriscent of choice.

I wonder if the longevity has something to do with it being a water based frag instead of an alcohol based frag . . .

The longevity and projection seemed to be the issue most people had with it on basenotes. Most people seemed to like the scent. This is why I am interested in the "concentrate" that they are selling, which seems to be like an essential oil where you would just apply a drop or two to your skin. Has anyone had an experience with the "concentrate?"

Are you a fan of the Islays? Cumming the Fragrance has a nice blast of peat that I understand could be offputting to some.

I find while the scent may not last terribly long, it does start to project as your body temperature increases. To me, the scent isn't really an all day thing, I find it wonderful for weekends when you're watching sports, drinking scotch and smoking cigars in big leather chairs with your friends. Even if that, for some reason, doesn't appeal to you or you simply cannot at the time the scent makes you feel as if you were doing it. It's more of projecting an atmosphere and not a body fragrance.

Oh it's not the scent I find off-putting, Aaron, it's rather just the weak projection and appalling longevity.
I'd think Cumming to be a reasonably good fragrance if it lasted and was a little stronger - I like that sweet, earthen accord it has.
Even if it were a 7+ hour scent, it still wouldn't be right up there with my favourites, though.
