I've got some pliability back in this stuff. I noticed some white bits in the tobacco...looks like some pieces of the tin flaked off into the contents. I dumped it out and pulled out some of the bigger chunks. Probably kept about 50% of the original volume as much as I could be sure wasn't rusty bits of tin. I don't have high hopes for this stuff, but I'm going to give it a shot in a week or two after its had some time for the moisture to stabilize.
I already through away the rest or I'd try. It was mostly tobacco dust anyway.Run a magnet over it to remove the metal? I assume it's steel since it rusted.
Yeah, that's about what mine looked like inside also. Watch out for bits of tin in the tobacco...I pulled a bunch out of mine.Sorry, for the delay. The tin was definitely rusted. I though that I felt a soft spot on the side of the can. That turned out to be the culprit. I rehydrated the majority of the tobacco. It only took a total of 4 hours of a damp paper towel to get it back to what I consider my idea wetness. I haven't had a chance to smoke any of it yet, but I'll try to give it a go in the next week.
