That is a really great deal! MdC usually does €50 for just one soap. Or are these samples? Still great as you get to withhold the taxes, right?
€72 per soap, each is the large size 200g. And yes, depending upon time when we fly home, I will try to reclaim the VAT.

So, I must check out of GRUYERE 2025 with downcast eyes, a meek grin, and cheeks flushed with embarassment.
I purchased an Above the Tie S1 Titanium, hoping for a bump in efficiency over my TiBird Lite. I'm not sure this is it, though, so I may be returning it. I'll be even more abashed if I blew GRUYERE on a razor I didn't keep.
I need to get a dozen shaves with it to decide.
Anyway, here it is....

Did you also get the S2?. Can I get the side view or pic of the top cap? From this angle it looks like the new att slants might be different than the original.

There is no S2 yet. Shane said he did tweak them a little to improve efficiency without sacrificing smoothness. I'll try to get a pic tomorrow.
Weekly check in: still on board! Fantastic shave this afternoon: big, heavy blade scything through slick, fragrant lather. Superb!

I had the original S2 and didn't ever manage to get on with it. I suppose I am spoiled by the Fasan and all that helix it has.
Part of my dissatisfaction was the weight of the stainless steel. I then went into my machine shop and made a SS copy of the Fasan in 304 and it shaves like the original, but is also too heavy.
Titanium machining is probably beyond my antiquated machine shop to work with. I am hoping the new ATT TI is found toshave better than the original. Might be something for the next restock period....

I'm going to give it a thorough trial.
I love everything about my Blackbird Lite except my problem areas require four passes to get as smooth as I want them and there is occasionally some resulting irritation.
Did I mention the S1 is a BIG razor?
While I was going to offer to take that horrible, terrible, ugly Ti-Bird off your hands... (sarcasm of course)
... have you tried the standard safety bar, or even open comb instead of the lite plate?
