I had to go on eBay today to attend to my own razor sales, but when I start typing eBay into my browser the URL auto-completes and takes me to the homepage of a guy in the US who specialises in restored vintage razors...

DANGER, WILL ROBINSON!!!

Immediately, my brain started saying, "Hey, I could buy both of those lovely, shiny razors and he would combine shipping. So, really I would saving money and it wouldn't be any kind of failure..."

NO!

I had to get out of there fast!

I escaped with my wallet intact, but that was a close call.

I can totally relate James! My heart skipped a beat when I saw a double ring for a very decent number. But something was off, so I contacted the seller and it turned out to be a German Golf razor. It was actually good news I tell you!

Uh sorry I was momentarily not paying attention... Looking at what? I probably have a dozen different things that I could easily spiral into a FOMO based treewhale.

Fortunately something clicked in me when I woke up one day and discovered probably had enough DE blades to shave every day between now and when the sun explodes, or enough fountain pen in to paint a small house...

I went to the barber last Wednesday. He used a boar brush and it was really pleasant. I then made the mistake to research it. Then I made the mistake of looking at them. I sincerely regret the decisions that brought me BAD.

I'd also be lying if I didn't say I thought about offering you a decent sum and beg you to go back to Planète Raisor and grab some things for me...

I'm going to be back in midtown NYC in a few days, and it will take a huge amount of resolve to NOT go to Pasteur... if they stocked those Magellan and Absinthe soaps you picked up, I may be joining you on the sidelines.
