Nice handle on the razor, what kind is it?
Carbon Cx-Ti/WebNice handle on the razor, what kind is it?
The 89’s are very fine! Only razors I’ll ever needStill in.
Just been shaving with my EJs and Muhles.
I’ve recently found out these are great razor that work for me shaving every day.
I’ve also been hooked on MDC Argumes and Castle Forbes lime, with my silver tip badger brushes.
As for blades I throw whatever I’m feeling that day. Been really enjoying Treet TJax and Wizamets.
I’ll post some pictures when I get time.
Hoping everyone has some great shaves!
Thank you!
Thank you!
Thanks! I'm happy to still be in the 2025 sabbatical.
After giving some careful consideration to my purchase of my buddy's Karve this past week, I've decided that I'm out! The Karve is simply a "nice to have" and the purchase was not in keeping with the purpose of the sabbatical. I feel that restocks should only be used to replace consumables such as blades, soaps, aftershaves, etc. with like minded products and not to increase the size of one's den. With my purchase of the Karve, I have added an additional razor to my den which violates the spirit of the sabbatical.Hi,
Actually, it *is* the point. Stop buying, sit on what you have, and think about what you want next.
What we are all trying to stop is the knee-jerk buying which results from reading about what every other person on B&B is buying and going on about.
One way to sit and think before buying is the exception. Another way is to finish the restraint and not keep on. Then there is the re-up and use the two weeks for restock to take care of business.
I use the re-up and restock scheme myself.
I once bought four razors off of eBay one year. So that's four times as bad!
But, I took all year to figure out just what I was going for in January. That did force me onto eBay rather than the BST because I only had two weeks to get them all paid for.

With that said, it's been 3 years for me being in the annual sabbaticals and I've enjoyed using up my stock and selling off my collection of razors. I have no intention of buying anything further this year, so I'll play along on the "home" edition.
I wish you all the best of luck and stay strong!
restock period, or that could be the one exception. Just a thought. If that razor works for you it's not frivolous, and you're still in the restock period. I'd say you are still in. My 2 cents.
Jim, I would contest you are still in - even if you gentlemanly dubbed yourself out which is totally acting with integrity on your behalf. The Karve is simply a "nice to have" and the purchase was not in keeping with the purpose of the sabbatical.
The CB was an addition because you sold off too many if I recall. But I am hallucinating it wasn’t a need technically, because you had razors to shave with.I placed an order for 2 tubs of Captain’s Choice soaps and a Karve Chris Bradley razor
I would too! Especially if it’s an Overlander you use during the 2025 restraint!!I’m really looking forward to using the Karve.
I'm here to keep from buying soaps. I have and will continue to abide by all the purchasing restrictions, but I'm all about the soaps because they are my weakness. So my take is there is nothing wrong with buying a razor during restock if you are so inclined. Why should that rule anyone out given that we can specify a razor as an exception and consequently buy it at any time?Don’t we all have enough?
if you pay for the shipping I will let you have my Maxwell June and you can stay in maybe?@Jim99 your HAVE to be in or I can't in good conscience get a Maxwell June. If you are going to live by the sword I will live by the sword as well.
Ditto. If I stacked up all my soaps, they would reach to the top of my chest… and I’m 6’3” tall. They are my weakness.I'm here to keep from buying soaps. Re the particular case of @Jim99, could he retroactively be accept a razor as an exception?
