I realized that I've agreed to the December GRUME, so joining the 2025 GRUYERE would box me in for 14 months. I have been coveting a Captain's Choice bowl or scuttle of some sort, and if I cannot purchase it in December, I fear I will not be able to resist all of 2025. I therefore humbly request the option to amend my previous exceptions (see below).

I assume that a change before the GRUYERE has started is acceptable, but if I'm breaking any rules (literal or implied), I will withdraw my request.

You could buy 12 brushes before New Years and wrap them up and leave them in the hands of someone you can trust of not giving them to you early and then on the first day of each month they will let you have one. Although I can already see the pleading and growling that will be the result of this to get the next brush ahead of time. It would be like the 12 brushes of @Balin.

On the first day of January my true love gave to me a boar brush with a lot of backbone.
