Checking in and still going. Haven’t seen the bottom of any soaps yet. About the only stuff I have finished is a few bottles of after shave, and several tucks of blades. I did have a soap hit the bottom, though… lost it while boating. You’ll find it at the bottom of Lake Huron.

I’m confident that I’ll be temptation free through the end of December. I still have quite a stash of Williams and VDH, but no high quality soaps. But I might be okay with that.
Back during the restock period last year, my wife made a couple of her homemade recipe soaps and I liked the performance of them very much. Plus, the price was right. Maybe I’ll have her make a dozen or so pucks for me for 2025. It’s something for me to ponder.

I met my obligation by finishing the tube of Jack Black Beard Lube this morning. I have mostly been using it lately, as I did today, as a preshave. Today it was coupled with Barbasol foam for a comfortable and close 2-pass shave with my G4 Black Handle Super Speed fitted with a 7 O'clock Green Russian blade on its second use. FWIW, I get better shaves with the SS as compared to my '59 Gillette Tech which I used with the same blade 2 days ago. I finished with some Lucky Tiger with a few drops of Olivina Cedar and Bergamot oil to enhance the scent a bit.
Not sure if or when I will get another cream. Also not sure if I will repurchase the Jack Black. It works well, but not sure if it is better than other brushless creams I have or have used that are better values.

The restraint finally claims its first software victim, as I finished the last remaining tiny bit of a jar of Ethos Bergamotto cream. I loved every shave with this stuff!
