2020 Shave Purchase Sabbatical - Those Daring Men with their Jaunty Razors & Jalopies

Well had planned on using a brush and soaps I had, but had planned to purchase a head blade razor or an Omni shaver id read about. Either way, I bought a 16 pack of Fusion 5 razors blades off the bay for 20 bucks so I guess I can turn to them if need be.
I use my ATT S2. Give your DE a try, it's easier than you think. I went the Omni shaver route for about 4 months but started getting irritation on the back of my head. Discovered that it's not very practical unless I used it every other day. Longer than that and it was very uncomfortable to use. It is a multi-blade razor after all. I have two brand new ones and would be willing to send you one if you want to give it a try. As always YMMV.

Food for thought:

What if the stories @Pepin writes were about surviving racers overcoming adversity? This would avoid having a reward for getting eliminated. It would also impose a reciprocation debt on the characters in the stories. I predict those who were a character in a story would have a higher retention rate. If there was a commitment to include everyone during the year, the whole group could have a higher retention rate.

Members could be selected randomly for each story.

My 2 cent.

The approach basically is nice.

But if a brother did best efforts to stay in the sabbatical but finally fails he/she truly deserves to be the star of the show. Sometimes it is hard to stay strong. And I guess no one will leave the sabbatical for the sole purpose of reading ones name in the story.

FWIW, I feel rewarded enough with the feeling I have since I made the decision to join this sabbatical.

However, we should leave all decisions with regards to the upcoming story with @Pepin.

Btw: where is Pepin? PEPIN? 😂

First shave of the year (and of the restraint) Gem Clog Pruf open comb with a Ted Pella blade (5th use) Rudy Vey/Shavemac 2 band silvertip with Chiseled Face Sherlock Soap and Aftershave. Smooooooth! This will help me be aerodynamic in my Opel. I still have a few purchases from 2019 yet to arrive at my door.

Brought my Amazon app up around 1AM on Jan 1 and noticed I had 2 or 3 shaving items in the Cart I'd been toying around with ordering all day before ( nothing I needed but just stuff I was considering since I'd committed to the Sabbatical ) . I just deleted them and went back enjoying the New Year. It was a cleansing moment.

Douglas Corrigan, my navigator, and renowned aviator, and I have been discussing our strategy. It's a secret, so don't tell anyone. Except for the Lord's day, we will keep on rollin', rollin', rollin' for ten hours a day.

This will leave time for food, drink, maintenance and rest.

Douglas has double and triple-checked the maps. He did an excellent job today. We were the first out and the last in for this leg. We didn't see another car the whole day. How is this possible? (I'll PIF 100 Astra SP blades to the first contestant who solves the riddle. The contest may close without notice after 24 hours. CONUS only.)

I love shaving. Today was one of those days that really bring this home. It was a quick one pass wtg shave and the results were brilliant. This would be a very good combination for a fixed four for a month. I kind of feel the periodic need to for a fixed four. I also commonly reject this need in favor of acquiring untried stuff. It will probably be with MdC. I'll keep posted on any upcoming fixed four. It won't be for a couple of weeks as I have two untried soaps. I'm so happy with today's dfs shave that I can't wait to do it again tomorrow.
