Rule 7: Trades will be limited to two trades a month with non Sabbatical entrants (not counting B&B pass-around boxes), unlimited with those still in the Sabbatical, as shipping does add up. Shipping costs for trades are exempt.Could I ask for some clarification on the rules, please? Suppose I win a gift certificate or other item in a PIF, can I trade it away or donate it to the charity auction without "going out"?
Right, I did read that, which is why I asked for clarification. If you receive a gift certificate as a PIF, you are not allowed to buy anything with it. But if you trade that certificate for something, you gain something you did not have before the Sabbatical started. See what I mean?Rule 7: Trades will be limited to two trades a month with non Sabbatical entrants (not counting B&B pass-around boxes), unlimited with those still in the Sabbatical, as shipping does add up. Gifts to others (which I'm sure includes donations to Saint Sue Charity auction) aren't shaving purchases for yourself and are fine. Just don't buy something, try it then give it away--that's where it gets iffy. We are all gentlemen with the intent to follow the spirit of the rules and not try to find clever ways around them.
