2011 Week of Wonderous Schick Injector!!

To promote the love of the wonderful Schick Injectors, several of us Injector lovers are going to do a full week of Injectors starting next Monday May 2nd, 2011.

If you choose to participate with us, simply post what you shaved with, and the results throughout the week.

Photos are of course encouraged (who doesn't like razor porn?)!!

For our purposes, we will define a week as 7 consecutive days. So you can start on any day you like; which is great if you find this thread in the middle of the week.



I presently have 3 Injectors: A Type E, Type I HydroMagic, and a Type L.

Very Cool...I've only got one...An Eversharp Schick I2...But it's the love of my shaving life... I dig my DE's aswell, but right now I can't seem to put this injector down...A week of Schickness would be a joy...

I'm absolutely in. This will give me a good chance to try out some of my new Schick's I haven't tried yet, and some new blades. And it gives me a chance to take a picture of my collection. Here's what I have:

Schick Type E w/ case
Schick Type G w/ case
Schick Type I-1
Schick Type I-2 Hydro-Magic
Schick Type J-1
Schick Type L-1 (M21)
Schick Type M-2 Adjustable (M48)
PAL Adjustable w/ case

It seems like I might have one or two more that I need to add to the list. I'll re-inventory them this weekend!

I also have some Ted Pella blades and some Personna 74s that I have not tried yet! I primarily use regular ASR Personnas.

I only have two types of injectors an L1 and L2 (stick). So wont be much razor porn from me. But if you'll have me, I'll hop on board!

I took your advice, but my microtome shave was rougher than I expected: the face got way cut up I got a LOT of thin weepers. Styptic hurt like heck!

My other favorite injector is a Schick that isn't pictured on the reference site.

It's a Eversharp Lady Hydro-Magic, but not a type K1 or K2, which has the long, round, ribbed handle and silver or gold flecks. Rather, the handle is squarish, like the handle of an adjustable, but longer and yellow in color. It has the Hydro-Magic lever head.

Anyone know what this is? I've been using the Pella Gem blades from the group buy with mediocre results. I've also used it with the Chinese Schicks. With those, the shave was a revelation.

I'm in for the challenge. Will continue with the Pellas just see if things improve.
