Just got these flea market finds... time to buy some knots snd epoxy and get polishing... Any thoughts on what, if anything, can be done with the small cracks in the clear acrylic?

Are those cracks surface only or do they go deep?

Haggises: Hopefully my restore efforts will do them justice. They look to me to be surface cracks only. Nothing looks deep.

Sanding would get rid of superficial scratches/cracks. Depending how long you are willing to sand at a low grit, you can actually get rid of fairly deep scratches ... but even leaving some behind isn't the end of the world.

What kind of grit do you need to go to to get it to be clear again?

On pretty much all my brushes I start at 320. If there are significant defects to be removed, I start dry sanding, then once a fair amount of "surface" has been removed I start wet sanding. There may very well be no difference by starting at 400 or 600, to be honest. I've just never tried it.
