2-Band Lovers Poll - What's Your Favorite?

I have come to the conclusion that 2-band badger is what makes me happy. I primarily use hard soaps and face lather. So what better combo than stiff backbone and super soft tips? So what is your favorite and why do you like it?

Note: I am sorry if I didn't include your favorite, there are too many out there. So please post a response with your vote even if it's not in my poll

Second Note: This thread is specifically to fuel my SBAD quest for the perfect brush and will directly influence my next purchase, so choose wisely and thank you for your contribution

Can't vote - have yet to test my new Thäter 49125/2 2-bander, my new M&F Medium BB, my Semogue LE 2011 FB2 and some other brushes I just bought - but so far my 2 favs in my den are the Rooney Stubby 2XL 2-band and Simpson Chubby 2 2-band

Love my shavemac 2bander for its super dense knot. Although I would also love to try a tulip one of these months/years. Hmm? pic time!

That is a tough call. I have tried a Simpson Chubby 1, Rooney Heritage XL1, TNG, and Shavemac D01 all in two band. For the money, TGN is my favorite. But I reach for the D01 slightly more often. I sold the Simpson and Rooney.

Tough call.
I only have two... Simpson Emperor and the B&B 2012 LE with the D01.
I really like both, the Simpson is a little "stiffer" than I like, but it's a very dense knot, and a bulb shape.
Both are great for face lathering, haven't tried bowl lathering with the Simpson yet.

Shavemac. Best lather release of any brush I've owned. I love the rest of my 2 bands but the shavemac takes it for the exceptional lather release.

Only 2 band I have is SOC. but I'm with you I find 2 band is just right for me. I will be watching this thread for my own purchasing info as well.

I probably shouldn't have voted, seeing as my Rooney heritage is my only 2-band experience, but by god is it a fantastic brush!

Wow, hard call there. I don't even think I could pick one. I LOVE my M&F blonde and my Simpsons for different reasons.

The Shavemac is too scritchy for me and the Simpsons have been either great or scritchy (same for M&F); so for me it's between the Rooney XL or the Thater. I'd vote for the XL from the earlier production or the Thater if buying new today.

In my case, it's like trying to choose your favorite child while having triplets on the way, but if I have to choose, my big Thater (34mm!!!) is a bit more special than the others. In the meantime I have a Shavemac, M & F and a second Simpson on the way so I don't know which of my six kids will turn out to be the most special.

I only have one of the listed brushes, the shavemac D01 2-band, and love it. I am curious to see how the poll results turn out ... for when SBAD kicks in ... inevitable although I am on D1 of Gentlemanly Restraint so this is purely an academic question at this time. For those of you with several of the listed brushes ... being so similar in design/action, how do you choose which one to use on any given day?

I bought a Chubby 2 2-band and love it, but the TGN and Duke 3 2-banders are so close it would make even a photo-finish useless.
