1st time use of Taylor mandarin-patchuly - express DE shave

I decided to give this cream a try today. After reading the criticism in the reviews, I spread a thin layer of it on my face, wrapped a hot towel for a minute and a half and started WTG with my Jagger razor loaded with 2nd time Wilkinson blade. The result from the first pass was the best I ever had from a first pass.
Without using anymore cream, did XTG and some ATG. In less than 15 minutes I was done, my skin felt great and there was no need for additional creams.

The only minor criticism I have is that the cream clogs the razor and requires vigorous mixing in a bowl filled with hot water to clean it. However, there's much less mess than lather.

The scent is fresh and after two passes, most of it is gone so it won't clash with any fragrance. The size of the jar promises many shaves so I'm happy with this find.

So you used it brushless?

I'm surprised you could get away with a second and third pass without re-applying, but congrats on a good shave.

I think the hot towel compensates for not using a brush as the steam helps the cream soften the beard and skin. The cream is quite sticky but it managed to protect my sensitive skin after a hot towel and two passes so it's worth it.

Taylor's doesn't make a mandarin patchouli SC (sounds good to me, though) - I think you mean St. James Of London.

 I'm going to have to check my glasses - you're correct. Sorry for the mistake. I must have confused two orders or just :o15::crazy:
