Today i decided to give my Dovo 'Best Quality' straight a go on the cheap rocks i bought off ebay. I let the stones soak for about 20 minutes. The set consisting of a 5k, 8k and 12K water stones, i think i ran my straight over each stone about 10-15 times and then 20-30 times on that Balsa strip i bought off Larry (one side red and one side green) and finished with 50 turns on the leather.
The end result was a dam fine shave and the straight felt smooth and sharp.
So is this it? If so its not as hard as i thought it was all going to be.
