1st Attempt.not terrible

My first razor arrived yesterday! I have strop ordered, but couldn't wait. I performed many of the 'sharp' tests and it passed so I went for it!

Per one of my first posts, I can't do the shave cream/gel stuff, but the Argan Oil worked well! I started, as recommended, on the side of the face going WTG. there was some minor pulling, but I think that may be because of the angle, or possibly the lack of strop.

Straight down from the sideburns, and all the way to the jawline. It took several passes, and I had to reapply the oil once or twice, but after getting those lines done of both sides I decided that it wasn't too difficult and did the rest of the cheek over to the mustache area (I keep it stubbly/scruffy in the goatee/mustache i hate looking young). Both sides, no nicks, a little pulling when I was getting the angle wrong (?) or the previously mentioned no strop (yet). But all-in-all I think it went well.

It is going to take a looonnggg time before I get to the neck/throat, but I have always been skittish about anything around or near my neck...

Still Alive,

I purchased an 11/16 W.H. Morley and Sons from TonyN. He had them up in the classifieds 9-5-12 here and SRP. They tell us to stay away from the notched, but the price was good, and I am not investing a lot in the 'up-front' until I am sure I am sticking with it...so far I have the razor, 'poor-man's' strop & and extra (nicked the first one already). I am under $100 since I don't need the Brush/Soap set-up.
