1955 Gillette Flare Tip Super Speed

Super Speeds were manufactured from 1948 to 1988. The ones after 1962 are a bit more aggressive.

Here is a question for the experts. This is my flare tip which I would describe as an English Flare Tip Rocket. Is that the correct description and is there any way to accurately date this razor? It is a medium shaver and the TTO mechanism is superbly smooth and solid feeling. Thanks.

Your is an English Rocket from the late 50s with the high profile head. Later in the 60s they changed to lower profile head and different endcaps.
