1941 Ranger Tech

Bought a 1941 Ranger Tech last week for $5 in an antique shop. Cleaned it up and have been using it with a feather blade and receiving BBS. It is a wonderful tool. Can anyone provide any additional information/history about these razors. This razor has impressed me and I would like to know more about them.
Thanks,
Stan

I'm hoping this helps: http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php?t=3411

You might also try a look through the wiki here. I think they are cool, and would love to find one...Is it a military version, all blacked out, or civilian?

The link took me through to the standard tech? This is the link for the 1941 Ranger Tech and some interesting information about this razor. Mine is on its way to me in the post. I'm hoping it's a good one!

This is the link to the shavewiki about the Ranger Tech:

Also Mr Razor has pictures of a pristine one on his site:

Thanks for the great info and links.
My ranger was not made for the war effort since it is nickel plated.
Also, have to agree that this razor with a feather blade shaves very well.

How do you know it is a ranger tech and not a super speed?

There is a smooth band just above the knob. On this space is stamped " PAT. NO'S ON PACKAGE". Also, no date stamp and no notch on blade bar. In addition, confirmed with photo here on B&B.
As you likely know this was the forerunner of the super speeds.
