1937 Electric Motoshaver

Hi....just wondering if anyone has heard about this electric razor. Apparently it was from California and not made for very long as there was some sort of legal problems with the patents. I have come across one that must have belonged to my father or grandfather It actually comes in a leather case and the original box, but unfortunately the writing on the box is worn off. It also has the Motoshaver guarantee in the box. Not sure how collectible this razor may be or what to do with it. I am sorry if I have posted in the wrong forum, maybe someone could redirect me as to how I can find out any info on this razor.
