15/16" Wade & Butcher chopper rescaled in cocobolo

Hi everyone. I spent the most part of the day yesterday running back and forth to my garage in order to make my first cocobolo scales. I was originally going to rescale either a frameback or smaller W&B but tin the end I decided to go for the minimalistic look on the scale and contrasted it with the menacing look of the chopper. The wood has been stabilized with a CA finish on both inside and outside. I used brass pins and washer. The wedge is nice and polished but there's a little bit of pitting still on the tang. I am going to leave it for now. When I get some greaseless compound I attempt to remove the pitting but I figured why risk ruining the blade when it looks good now. I used my rotary buffers to clean this guy up. Please feel free to comment and give advice. Thank you.

Very nice indeed. The only thing I would have done differently, is I think that a blade that big needs bigger scales.

You're right. I was originally doing this for a smaller razor but was curious to see how it would look with the wedge. I think I will put back the other blade. Stay tuned...

I fully agree here. However, that does NOT take away from the beauty of this thing. This razor is truly a cleaver... and I must say I'm a touch jealous. I've been seeking a cleaver like this for a while.

Let us know his she shaves.

Thanks. John's right. I'm going to take this blade out and put in a smaller one. I am considering selling this blade after rescaling it. I need the money more than I need the razor right now.
