12k and Soap?

Can you use dish soap on a 12k Naniwa to get more out of the 12k or will that damage the 12k. I know you can do it with Coticules because they are non-porous, just wondering if it works with 12K as well.

AFAIK - the Nani SS series are porous. Dunno if it'll damage it, but it not something I'd experiment with.

I would try water and glycerin before I'd put soap on a Nani.

Ive heard Slash say to use lather,i cant imagine there being a problem. But its best to err on the side of caution. I would email naniwa and see what they say. I only use soap on my dmts.

Good luck emailing Naniwa. I have never had a single email responded to by them.

I don't think they like my questions. Lol.

About soap - yeah, a lot of people say a lot of things.

Just because you read it on the internet - doesn't mean doing it makes sense.

I've used lather on my Naniwa 8k, and it seems fine - I've only done it a couple of times, mind.

Hey, I don't know if there is or there isn't a problem with using lather on them.

Having seen and read about more than a few stones cracking or getting weird, I try to play it safe.

I think I will play it safe as well and just stick to good old H2O
