After lurking for close to a week, trying to find out everything I could about this sharp blade way of shaving, I finally joined B&B. I had been thinking about starting to shave with a DE for a couple of years, and finally decided that I was going to give it a try.
Earlier that day, I ordered my first DE razor - a Parker 22r w/some Shark blades. I went to WM and bought the VdH kit, and about the same time my wife bought me a Marvy shave brush. I was starting out cheap, but it was a good way to start.
Every time I have had a problem, since starting to DE shave about a week after joining here, I have always received some good advice or an answer to the issue I was having. The advice has been sound, if not at times overwhelming, but all practical and all good.
B&B has lead me to finding better ways of shaving, leading to ADs which I fight to keep under control. I never would have thought, even 6 months ago, that I would now be using SEs and injectors more than my DEs. I also would never have thought I would be going out searching for new razors, vintage AS, OS mugs, and even shaving creams.
B&B has also lead to new friendships and help in other areas, too - LINUX, beer, pipes, and geek and nerd humor. While the Clown House seems to be more or less my home here, I enjoy spending time reading and participating in all the forums and threads here, even posting a review from time to time.
Thanks for your help, your encouragement and making this a great place. I cannot thank my friends here enough, and I cannot thank the mods, stewards and the admin here enough for all that they do to keep this the absolute best forum on the web, and the best shaving forum.

Eloquent, I dunno.....sometimes the ADs take complete control, so watch out.
