12 Days with a Slim

Due to vacation and taking only one razor I got to know my K-3 Slim a whole lot better.

Conclusions:
I marginally prefer Rapira Platinum Lux over Voskhods, but it's pretty close. Better than Astra SP. Both are great blades for me. 3 shaves per blade.

I'm too absent minded to use an adjustable on a daily basis. My ideal set up is 9 on the WTG/XTG passes, 4 on ATG, careful on neck.
A lot of my shaves started with 4, just because that's the way I had left it....

Easy to get an irritation free DFS - if I pay attention. Also easy to weep/nick if I don't pay attention because it feels like a heavy razor.

I love my Slim, though I miss the feedback of the GEM/Ever Ready SEs.
Definitely a keeper, but now going on to give my other razors some love.

I used a Slim everyday for about 6 months; then I got a Fatboy. After one shavewith the Fatboy, the Slim started gathering dust. Eventually I sold it to one of my son's friends. He loves it.

Been using the short super adjustabale since march. The slim looks and shaves great but has taken a back seat along with the red, blue tip, SS and all my Merkurs. Only my replated Tech and Fatip piccolo have been in the beam.

Here's where we differ. With either a 195 Adjustable or a Slim, or a Super Adjustable, I keep on getting nick-free shaves, same as always. With SEs and Injectors, nick-free as well, just much closer first passes with those. It's been the lighter weight DEs that have sneaked under my dexterity radar level and nicked me, both a late 40s Super Speed, and a Black Tip Super Speed.

I think I marginally prefer the Slim to the SA, but it's pretty close. Had an SE shave today, but going to go spread the love around the rest of the gang, including as yet untried Flare Tip and fat Handled Tech.

I'm not sure I could cut myself with a 40s SS without actively trying, like putting a more horizontal component to the Gillette slide.
