What's new

#100 Yeah!!

OKOKOK.

Its a milestone for me, what can I say?

Heres my question:
POST Shave technique was cold water rinse, dry face and splash on Witch Hazel. Good results.

The last few days I have been rinsing with warm water and LEAVING my face wet. Splashing witch hazel on my wet mug and letting it air-dry.

Great results !! WHY ??:confused1

Is it all in my mind or is there scientific evidence to back me up ??

It is all in your mind. That is weird though I have to use plenty of cold water otherwise things turn out bad.

Chris

Congratulations on your first 100!

AS far as the rinsing with cold and or warm water, maybe the Witch Hazel is able to act more like an astringent when your pores aren't fully closed after the warm rinse. My preferred method is a very cold rinse followed by a liberal layer of alum.

Chris,

Slow down and pay attention to your razor angle. Sounds like you may need to make a minor adjustment. A cold rinse should not have to be lengthy.

Good for you- I know how I felt once I had reached my first 100; now check and see how far you're behind Guenron!

Rikrdo,

It's just plain ole Magic; it happens only once you've had 100 posts on B&B!

Hey Marty...

Have I been properly assimilated ???:thumbup1:

as far as your question, I also leave my face wet (after cold splash though) before applying witch hazel, asb, or ***(plash). I'm not a scientist either, but I feel as though when my face is left somewhat damp in this manner...extra moisture is locked in.
