Thanks for this post! At this time, I just can’t pick one. So I will go with anything super smooth - like Derby Premium, RPL, Voskhod, Astra SS, Gillette 7 O’clock Super Platinum and BIC Chrome Platinum.

If I am a man of average means (and I am, provided "average" is reduced to an embarrassing level) then it is the Astra green.

But if I'm Beau Brummel, man about town? The Feather. Which I would use once per blade, then discard with imperial contempt.

Does it have to be in current production?

If not first would be LB Wilks. Second would be NOS Swedes.

If current production, probably Russian Swedes (light blue box).

I have 5-6 favorite blades, But If I had to choose one it would have to be a blade that can be bought easily (amazon for example), decent price per blade, and decent amount of shaves per blade. When I factor all those it would be a Feather.
