Sounds tasty. I love meals like that. It's nice to be able to pull a home cooked meal out of the freezer and just reheat and eat. What's your method for tying it all together?
It's currently had to find a number of nice bourbons in The States as well. It's been over a year since I've been able to find any Blanton's, Elmer T. Lee, or Weller.
I picked up a 4 pack of Fever Tree club soda that was on sale for $4 a few weeks ago. I haven't done an A/B comparison, but I didn't really find any difference compared to Schweppes club soda.
I'm surprised, with you being fairly new to whisk(e)y, that you're jumping into something as robust and in your face as Uigeadail. Very cool. Laphroaig and Lagavulin are what ultimately got me into scotch, but I was a seasoned bourbon drinker before I tried those. Since you have a taste for it...
I had a final two to three finger pour of a bottle of Glenfiddich 15 earlier. On to a freshly cracked bottle of Ardbeg Uigeadail to help me settle down for bed.
I love Uigeadail. No joke, I was just contemplating cracking a bottle of it for a nightcap. Are you into peated scotch, or will this be an entirely new experience for you?
It's one of thier limited editions. I bought it a few months ago, but just cracked it last night. My experience with rye is fairly limited, but I found it to be pretty good.
If the prices and availability of everything didn't get so wild this past year, then i probably would have purchased a rig by now. Some of the leather makers have crazy wait times right now.
For $80, it certainly looks like a nice getup. I have yet to get a holster for my Dan Wesson, but I don't intend to carry it, which obviously changes the need for a holster.
