    Running low on Top Secret

And all my sources seemed to have dried up. Does anyone have a lead on a vendor I can try? My go-to for Iberian creams has always been Gifts & Care, but they don't list it now at all, not even as out of stock. Amazon, Ebay come up empty as well. I hope it hasn't been discontinued...

My Week with the Durham Dorset

I noticed a mention somewhere around the forum that Tryablade stocks the Personna Pathology blades that fit the various Durham razors. I have several (Duplex, DuBarry, Dorset, 300) and have been disappointed in the Personna carpet blades that up until now were the only blade available to me - so...

    1912 repair advice

I have a Gem 1912 with a loose blade cover. The spring is intact, it looks to me like the tab under the blade bed that applies tension to the spring isn't keeping enough pressure on the spring. In other words, it's sprung. Not much, but just enough to let the lid rattle when it's in the down...

Did you ever wonder why Feather SE blades fit those old Valets?

I mean, it can't be coincidence that they fit every old Valet model, so why would Feather bother to make a blade that fits razors that haven't been seen in the US since WWII? This expired Ebay listing gives a good clue. Looks like at some point the patents and tooling for the old Valets were...

Wilkinson Safety Razor Wedge Blade - How to hone?

Wasn't sure where to post this - not really a straight but not a typical safety razor blade either....anyway, I recently won this Wilkinson Empire 7-day set. It's complete, and all the blades look clean and sharp to the naked eye. At some point I may even work up the nerve to shave with it...

Wilkinson Empire wedge blade - how to hone?

It's complete, and all the blades look clean and sharp to the naked eye. At some point I may even work up the nerve to shave with it, which led me to...

    Checking in

Checking in to say hello and give a short intro. I've been a brush and soap shaver for years but I fell away from my trusty Shick injector about 30 years ago. I guess I fell for the multi-blade cartridge hype. Anyway, I ran across a wetshaving discussion on another forum community I belong to...
