My family is looking for stocking/ small gift ideas for me. I would like to expand my collection of aftershaves (and soap as well if there are some must haves).
I have and use the following regularly:
Cold River Soap Works:
- Jardin D'Orange. I like this scent. Woodsy/ earthy with a hint of...
Hey all. This is my first time posting in the NIB. Found this forum getting started with wet shaving. For whatever reason or another, I decided to get myself a fountain pen. I did a little reading and found myself a Pelikan m215 off ebay. Should be here in a week or two.
I bought the Pelikan...
I've got a tin of this soap that I've used maybe a dozen times. 90% or more left (retail $17 + shipping). I LOVE the smell of this soap, I just can't seem to get the lather dialed in. Everyone here seems to swear by this stuff, so maybe I'll try it out again someday. For now, I would like to try...
Any special way I can tell if my soap is the glissant base? Any ingredient I am supposed to look for? I'm at work so excuse my ignorance if its stupidly visible on the package. I bought some of their bay rum a month or two ago and like it a lot, just wish it had a tad more cushion to it.

Would actually suggest looking at a Weatherby Vanguard. I have one in .243 and I love it. Howa also makes a very affordable rifle (their 1500 I think it is) that has a two stage trigger and good accuracy out of the box.
I would look at Dan Wesson, Colt, or a decent Kimber. Depends on what you are looking to use it for primarily. If you are looking to carry it, I would highly recommend the DW CCO model, or a Kimber TLE or Eclipse. Several Kimbers in my family, and all of them go bang nicely. 1911's can get a bad...
Of course I just ordered it off Amazon and the cheapest seller was selling from the UK and it already shipped. Soooo I get to wait until mid March to get it. Oh well. At least that means I might finish one of my other soaps by then.
When I pulled up the website today it still appears to be on sale. (I'm assuming they send a soap with the bowl).
