Hi, just to provide you with an update.
My LEA Professional restock just arrived from Connaught Shaving. While the price and performance remain unchanged, the scent smells different from the one I bought a year ago. Instead of citrusy-cologne, the scent now feels more floral, soapy and lighter...
LEA Classic has nice sandalwood-y scent and menthol; the 250g Pro is a citrusy cologne scent without menthol. The Pro seems to provide slightly better glide and cushion over the Classic, based on a year of usage comparison. My copy of the Classic in metal tube hardened after only a few months...
Hello Rick. Thank you for sharing.
I have the Lea Classic and I like the scent and postshave feel too. But being a guy who does not fancy strong menthol, the Lea Classic's menthol strength is just about right for me and maybe not stronger than that. :)
My LEA Professional 250mg ran out and Connaught is out-of-stock.
I would like to know if LEA Mentholated shaving cream smells and shaves the same as the regular/big LEA apart from the addition of menthol?
And is the level of menthol about the same as LEA Classic shaving cream?
Denim Black is a fine and value-for-money shaving cream. Its scent is quite typical of Denim aftershaves - this one a bit musky and slight citrusy. Very mildly mentholated. Gives a smooth and non-eventful shave.
I started with the EJ DE89 and have added on the Fatip Testina Gentile for daily shaves. No big problem transiting to the Fatip. I did consider the 34C but since I prefer a 3-piece, Fatip is the next natural choice. And it is made of brass!
