Used my Ever-Ready 1914 today. It is an aggressive razor but very smooth. I always enjoy using it. I used a Nivea shave stick, makes plenty of lather without really trying. Used my RR brush and Chatillon Lux 88 Chestnut Street aftershave. Another great shave in the books.
At first I use to like a lot of blade feel. Lately I've been leaning toward a milder shave. I think you are correct on all of your conclusions. Right now my two favorite razors are the General SE and the ATT G1. Both are mild razors.
Of course there is always the chance for error in anything we do. That is why I said that guys that don't like La Toja are probably not doing it right. The right mix of water and product. All things being equal La Toja is the best. Many guys agree with me.
I have this beautiful Thather Boar brush that I have not been using lately. I don't often use my boar brushes so I am going to give this lovely brush to someone. This is a top notch brush. It cost $90. but I am going to give it away to some lucky person.
Just post here that you want it. Sorry I...
I think most of us feel the same way. I can always count on B&B to cheer me up. I can usually find something interesting to read here and keep my interest in this hobby active. I've been around here for about 8 years and I enjoy every minute of it.
For years I only used one soap, and one razor, and one brush. Then I discovered B&B and all that changed. For awhile I had plenty of soaps, razors and brushes. Now I'm down to about 3 pucks of soap, 3 sticks of soap, and 2 creams.
Works good for me.
