    Gents...

That's awesome! I'm sure those will turn out great. I saw the fancy work you put on the shank of one of your cobs during the zoom meetup. Well done. Please show off the finished product.

Look at that tin art...did you have any Sherlock Holmes like epiphany? That there is a good sized calabash.

...Italy has been hit exceptionally hard by current events...? Not that others haven't I suppose. I'm just grasping at straws.

    An interesting read

I came across the article yesterday and after getting to know a handful of you I learned that there are several of us with a seagoing profession. Even if in the past, it's a pretty interesting read. It's about the first submarine successfully used to sink an enemy ship. Of it sank itself in the...

    Pipe Smokers - Ideal Setup?

I'm still very new to the hobby so I'll leave other more experienced smokers to guide you, welcome back...the rabbit hole is dark and deep. That itch you mentioned, you can never seem to scratch it to satisfaction. I guess that's the fun part anyway. Enjoy!

Places to Enjoy a Good Cigar or Pipe During The Lockdown?

Same as before for me. Either on my front or side porch depending on the winds outside or in my shop. My shop has two nice leather chairs and a sofa plus a good sized television. I miss sports so much right now. I actually rewatched game 5 of last years NLDS tonight. I'll probably rewatch some...

New to pipe smoking, seeking recommendations

Sadly not many. My favorite near me is in downtown Louisville. I buy a tin everytime I go in even though it's no where near cost effective when compared to online prices. It is small and with a pretty unimpressive selection but I want to support them. I took my daughter to a hockey tournament...

    Burley

I was going to suggest the same. I have significantly less experience then you and don't get a cigarette taste from Carter Hall (although I've never been a cigarette smoker which may be another factor). I love Carter Hall and I really get the chocolate and nutty flavors coming through. I find...

New to pipe smoking, seeking recommendations

It's been nearly four months since starting this thread and I believe an update is in order. PAD and TAD have taken their toll and I am pipe and tobacco rich and money poor! I am definitely enjoying this new hobby and doing my best to resist the urge to buy every tobacco and pipe I want to try...

This will be my first B&B pipe...any words of wisdom or special instructions necessary for me to take part? I'm already a member of the Brown Leaf...anything else?

    Trying again. Growing tobacco

Interested to watch this thread. I bought a few books on the subject but haven't ordered seeds. My great grandfather leased his land to tobacco farmers I can remember watching the process growing up. I'd love to have some seed to smoke tobacco of my own.
