I hope not to appear to be hijacking Cumberland Sausage' thread. I will gladly withdraw if so. I too am from the UK, Scotland to be precise, and am looking for a user grade slim as my old slim is getting on a bit. I will gladly pay upfront for the razor and for postage.
I am visiting the States...
I've been DE shaving for about 7 months. A lot of members say they have a heavy growth, I do. If I miss a day, my whiskers can actually penetrate the skin on my wife's face. Every time I go ATG on my neck, particularly the left side, I get bumps. My barber...
Received my starter set today from Mammoo at www.traditionalshaving.co.uk.
Set was Barberpole HD, Taylors rose cream, EJ brush & 10 Astra blades.
Added Taylors almond cream. Cost just over £50, which made the postage free. Mathew included sample of EJ cream.
Still relatively new to DE shaving.
I've tried Palmolive cream and stick, AOS lavender cream, Proraso cream, Trumper's coconut cream. Real Shaving Company cream

Go to a traditional barber and ask if he can source the W/Sword blades (made in England) My barber kindly got me 100 in tower pack, in boxes of 5 blades for £8.40. Result! Research on various forums seems to rate the UK blades.
Hi Afraid the mis-alignment wouldn't show up on a photo. It can be seen, just! with the naked eye. When shaving using the side with the indicator, all's well, when using the opposite side, it feels if you have dialled up another setting, ie, side one shaves like a 1, side 2, feels like a 2 just...
First post. New to DE shaving. Purchased Futur, happy, though appears head is mis-aligned as on side is definately more aggressive. Haven't heard about cap loosening, hopefully German engineering will leave us with nothing to worry about.
First post. New to DE shaving. Purchased Futur, happy, though appears head is mis-aligned as on side is definately more aggressive. Contacted Merkur, no reply. On a happy note, my Italian barber, Luigi, Salondini, Glasgow, got me 100 Wilk'son blades,(Made in England) for...
