    Leather for paddle strop

You might consider going to a leather supply store and see if they have offcuts of bridel or latigo that you can buy cheap.

    Just saying hi

I've been absent from this forum for a few years and thought I would drop a note since I'm picking up the hobby again. Is there still a WTB section?

    ROLLS RAZOR - Worth it?

+1 for the Rolls Razor. I've got one that I bought off ebay a few years ago. It even have the history of where it was bought and who bough it! There was an address on it and I recently googled it only to find a shopping mall there. Anyhow I would said it's one of the shavers in my collection...

    A Sad Day - Corroded Bartmann 6/8"

I felt the edge and it's pretty much gone in my opinion. I guess if anyone out there as similar faux tortoise scales or any celluloid scales it might be wise to invest in a new set of wood scales. I personally prefer wood, horn or even micarta scales myself.

    A Sad Day - Corroded Bartmann 6/8"

Scott that is a good point. I am certain I cleaned it at one point before storing it away. However I clean all my razors in pretty much that same way. Of the 30 or so I have this is the only one that corroded so badly. This razor is the only one that has these faux tortoise scales so I'm...

Hi there hakemakmal. I just use Old Spice. I bought it in Canada. I tend to have a variety of soaps but only one or two aftershaves.

    A Sad Day - Corroded Bartmann 6/8"

I wanted to share with everyone the results of not protecting your straight razors properly when in storage. I live in a very humid country and as soon as I saw my razors start corroding I immediately went and bought a dry box. I never needed such a thing in Canada but it's absolutely...

Great Canadian Travelling Box #2 (aka CTB2)

Oh that's great news. I'm glad someone was able to start another box after these two. I must admit they were a lot of work but thankfully the generosity of the wet shaving community made it easier to fill them up. In regards to your question, any DE blade will be fine. It cost quite a bit...

Great Canadian Travelling Box #2 (aka CTB2)

The other day I realized that I was running out of DE blades and was not able to buy any anywhere in the KL areas of Malaysia. Then it dawned on me that the boxes might have some blades leftover. I believe one of the boxes got sold already. What became of the other one? I am really desperate...

Great Canadian Travelling Box #2 (aka CTB2)

Hey everyone. I haven't been on for a while. I've been in touch with Sentinel and have asked him to take the box and offer up for sale on BST either in part or whole. The proceeds can then be donated to B&B. As for the other box. I look forward to seeing the contents. At that point I'll...

    Cigars in Philippines

Hello everyone. It's been while since I've logged onto B&B and posted anything. I'm now in Philippines on business and had the opportunity to go shopping recently. I came across some locally made cigars and was tempted to buy some. Here's a pic of what I bought. They aren't stored in a...

Great Canadian Travelling Box #2 (aka CTB2)

I wonder if people in colder climates enjoy shaving more? Seems like there are more participants in the central areas of Canada where it's much colder this time of year than on the west or east. Any comment. So are both boxes accounted for now?
