It's a pipe stand made, appropriately enough, by a British pottery manufacturer called Wade. Wade apparently made a lot of animal themed collectibles including my favored dog the Cairn Terrier. These stands (I have three of them) were probably made in the 1960s or '70s.

Sometimes, as above. I once accidentally was still on a VPN when I attempted to log in (from home) to a brokerage account. Hoo boy did I have to go through a lot of hoops to get that unlocked. Apparently it set off a lot of alarm bells :P But especially when traveling, VPN all the time.
