I won’t be smoking meerschaums exclusively for March, too many fine new briars for that, but I will be smoking them. This one I commissioned should be arriving soon but it seems the Turkish post is dragging their feet a bit...
Anybody thought of “Sepiolite September”
Found a pipe last night that I could not pass up, this blasted paneled Horn by J.L. Thompson is a unsmoked estate that was apparently picked up by someone at the 2018 Chicago Pipe Show, for what ever reason they decided they didn’t want it. Killer blast and the Fordite shank embellishment really...
One of the two new custom Zulus I had commissioned arrived from Africa, Jean Du Toit of Jan Pietenpauw Pipes patiently worked with me on the design of this pipe and I am thrilled with the result. The cream colored accent in the mount is made from whale’s tooth and the two ridges that run through...
OK, this one was gifted to me by my friend Paul Menard of Paul's Pipes, what I did to deserve it I haven't a clue, but I'm very thankful, it smokes as good as it looks...

Several new pipes this month, a Cermak Morta with Damascus ring, a Pfeifen Timm (Kai Neilsen) blasted Dublin, a Kai Neilsen Jewel Of Denmark Flame Grain Dublin, a custom Jan Pietenpauw blasted military mount Zulu with whale tooth accent and a custom meerschaum Zulu spigot from H. Cor, oh yeah...
Thanks for the welcome, yes his “chipblast” rustication is what drew me to his pipes, he had just gotten a new sandblaster that he was eager to put to use but I insisted on his trademark rustication.
