Got a Weishi Gunmetal for $15 that was my 1st DE, and still use it.
Nothing beats my Ming Shi 2000S for $7. Have never gotten less than a DFS shave with it.
I just posted about someone on the Bay selling DE89's for less than $20 & free shipping.

I've been thinking about an upgraded 3 piece razor for awhile. I use a JunJie that got a couple of years ago, and it does the job.Just think it would be cool to have something else that's a brand name.
The other day, I'm looking at something else on the Bay, and found a seller looking to get rid...
I picked this up in Pasture a couple of weeks ago from the 50% shelf. Nice scent, light on the cloves, and shaves well. Does anyone else know the brand? Was surprised they were moving it out, but a good buy for $8.

This is a start. It will be interesting to see if Gillette decides to get back in the game they once owned or if this is just a one off.

In the end, all DE blades in bulk are less expensive then what you pay for Fusion carts. Even a tuck will last me longer then a cart, and less money. The questions will always be, how much do you want to pay for so many blades? You might pay $10 to $15 bucks more per 100 between Feathers and...
If you can find it, there is a great book on the history of Gillette that is about 40 years old now. I got it through the NYPL. Can't remember the name of it. I read it a few years back. Goes through the whole Probak-Gillette story and the slot for the blades.

Funny, I feel the same about the blades you've mentioned. But...as always...YMMV. That's why all the great discussion here on product. One man's treasurer might be another man's garbage...women too.

I was just in Pasture's last week, and they were out of GSB. I picked up a tuck of Platinum instead. Both are the same price at $1.79. They may not be the same blade, but they are good. Both in my top 10, but GSB slightly higher ranked.

The loser, and still the worst;
Flying Eagle $h!#.
.
To say I could get a better shave with a dull butter knife would be an insult to dull butter knives everywhere.
Followed close behind by Derby...Feh!
And V2 or V12 from India. Sucked so bad not worth remembering the name.

If you've got some for trade, go to The Great Blade Exchange. Toothpick is great with blades & fair. I tried more blades through the GBE than buying them. Rapira Platinum Lux are one of my favorites.
Try;
Zorrik Platinum
GSB
Gillette Sharpedge Yellows
Gillette Platinum
Silver Star SS

Usually after 6 shaves. Depends on how smooth & comfortable the 4th or 5th was. If it's still performing well enough, sometimes I'll go pass 6 and toss it when it starts to get rough.

Usually I toss them after 6 shaves. Depends on the brand, and how it's holding up on the later shaves. Just took a look at my personal list for blades, and out of my top 20, 17 have done at least 6 or more for me.

One of the wonderful things about living in NYC...getting to go there when I need something...and worse when I don't...[emoji16]

Happen to be a favorite of mine. I always get a DFS with it no matter which razor I use.it in...but you know those 4 dreaded letters that always go with any blade review...YMMV.
