When I first joined Badger & Blade, over 10 years ago, I probably tried 50 or 60 different blades. There was a blade exchange thread.
I learned that all our faces are different, and blades that others really liked, I threw away after one stroke on my face! And the reverse is also true...

I like the Chinese Jinhao pens, they seem to run around $7.00 shipped. Look nice and write well, not in the same league as a Waterman, but you can carry one without worrying about losing it!
Lather it up with your favorite soap, and let it sit overnight. Look for a post here at B&B about how to break in new brushes, it should work for getting the funk out.
