Item Description
Yves St Laurent M7 flat out smells sexy, powerful and refined. It's a sophisticated and successful scent, perfectly suited to office wear. At first.
This stuff does NOT go away. I put some on Wednesday morning, and I could smell it on me when I went to take a shower the next day. I've never had an AS linger that long, and by then all that was left was a pungent musky basenote that I was not enjoying at all. Its a very complex fragrance- the first three or four hours are heaven but eight hours into the day you smell like a teenager that overdosed on his dad's Skin Bracer. The bottom scent is completely different from the top and mid notes, which hint at a huskier Polo or Floris 89, but the base note is more akin to Stetson or Jovan. It's almost like it strives to be a boutique fragrance but ends up being a department store knock-off.
I've not sampled the cologne, but I can tell you now you don't need an accompanying EDC or EDT while wearing this. Use it sparingly. Once you start to sweat, the scent intensifies greatly and you may not like what's there.
It comes in an attractive, simple bottle that looks expensive sitting on your shelf. I payed about thirty dollars for my bottle, and I'm kind of wishing I would have sprung for a sample before I took that plunge. I have a feeling that this is going to be sitting in my den for a while; I can see myself wearing it on the weekends when I can wash it off after a few hours.
