Learning to shave for a couple of months now. Starting with a can of Gillette Gel, then Nivea Foam, then ditched them when Arko stick came...
For sure, the biggest upgrade was a nice synthetic brush with the soap and learning to avoid shaving until I have time for a hot shower.
Astra SS blades came in the post, so I ditched my Ming-Shi (which appeared very similar to my Thai Super Thins) and found them not much more comfortable.
It cost me dearly to get my DFS>
Wilkinson Swords gave me a smoother shave, and they're the only one that feels better during the first three shaves. They don't feel quite as sharp unless I'm careless - less tendency to bite but more tendency to slide and cut.
