I picked this up from the local Rite Aid Pharmacy. It was one of their new items. They carry nearly the whole line from The Real Shaving Company.
First of all the company claims it's been around since the 1950s, so why have I not heard about them before? This made me a little scepticle, but it was only $6.99, so I thought, "What the heck."
The next day, I used an almond size portion in my daily shving routine. The cream was thick and the lather was easy to generate. The scent was a little hard to explain. It seems more of a water scent to me, but the cream contains Tea Tree Oil, so you also get the hint of that and the feeling of slight menthol. One could say it was like Men-U Shave Cream in that sense, but not exactly the same scent.
The almond size portion made a considerable amount of lather. I did a three pass shave and had enough for about 5 or 6 more passes. The lather was very slick which led to an awesome shave. It also seemed to be very moisturizing (like my Trumper's Coconut cream).
For the price, I could really see myself buying this again. It's sure to be a hit, so I'm wondering if it's going to stay on the shelves at Rite Aid.
