The Prismatic Razor

Pros: knurling, efficiency
Cons: weight, length
I had been trying to track down a Kirby razor for a while and this seemed like the next best thing. Nickel plated zamak for the head and nickel plated brass for the handle, it's a bit light weight and short handled for my tastes, but it does look lovely. The angle is very easy to find and the audible feedback is pretty outstanding, almost as loud as my Futur. I was able to mow down a three day growth with only 3 passes to a DFS using a Gillette Super Platinum. The diamond pattern on the handle is very sharply cut, I never felt in danger of losing control. A nice razor that will probably make it into my regular rotation and, dare I say, better than the famed DOC design by the same manufacturer.

I wanted to follow up with the death of my Prismatic. The safety bars are very thin and I must have knocked off some plating because one of the bars began to corrode. One side is completely unusable now.
