Sporting Club hairdressing is a traditional barber shop product. It’s available only in Australia and is made by Turnleys (Aust) Pty Ltd (established 1906).
It’s what you’ll probably get on your hair when asked, “Would you like a little something to hold it down sir?” It’s about $5 if bought wholesale direct from Turnleys.
It has a pleasant fragrance with lavender notes – not strong but instantly brings to mind the old-fashioned barber shop. Contrary to the corny graphic on the front it does not give your hair a shine.
It’s like the old-fashioned setting lotion from the 1960s. It’s not as aggressive as gel -- between gel and mousse. I use it when I expect a bit of a breeze when doing an outdoor presentation.
