Moisturising Shave Cream

Pros: Priced right
Cons: Lather isn't great
Bought this for the first time in Heathrow airport. Loved it but hard to find here as Rite-Aid no longer carries it in Georgia. Anyway, overall a good product for the money. Lather not as great as some others I've tried, but overall, a good product. Worth a try.

Pros: Works well, inexpensive, often on sale
Cons: Scent is somewhat medicinal
This is frequently on sale at our Rite Aids around here for $3.99 but I think it's still an excellent value at their regular $5.49 price.

As mentioned the scent is lacking but for a base cream this works very well. I read somewhere that RSC also offers a mentholated version but I've never seen that anywhere.

The Real Shaving Co. is part of the Creighton's empire, which includes Truefitt + Hill.
This cream performs almost as well as Creighton's flagship products, but without the frills. For example, even though "fragrance" is one of the ingredients, I didn't discern any particular scent, good or bad. It's packaged in a run-of-the-mill tube, easy to miss on the shelf among the flashier products.
Face lathering: The lather is very moist. Adding water just makes the bubbles larger, so I wouldn't recommend using any water other than a damp face and brush.
While this will never replace the experience of my beloved T+H No. 10, for about five bucks, it's hard to beat the value.
